Visit Chester Zoo - a world of wildlife awaits you!

Discover over 11,000 wonderful animals and 400 different species including some of the most endangered in the world!

From the magnificent elephants and rhinos to the delicate butterflies, there is a different animal to see around every corner of this amazing 110 acres of award-winning gardens.

New for 2013
- Marvel at our many new arrivals at Chester Zoo including our (not so giant) giant otter pups, black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, orangutans, Asian elephant calves and our first ever okapi!
- Mind bogglingly big BUGS! arrive for the summer between 13 July – 3 November. Our amazing exhibition of robotic giants includes stupendous scorpions, extra-large ladybirds and spiders that are anything but incy-wincy. You’ll make some pretty amazing discoveries too. Like the fact that a dragonfly can fly at up to 60 miles per hour and a grasshopper can jump 20 times its own body length.

Enjoy daily animal talks, children’s play areas, themed gardens and a choice of restaurants and kiosks – there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes. Kids and grown ups will love the Zoofari monorail, it gives you a giraffe’s eye view of the zoo. Or, take things a little easier and relax on the Waterbus.

If it’s present ideas you’re after, take a look online at our new range of animal encounters and experience days. There’s something for everyone including lots of gift ideas for friends and family.

Chester Zoo is open daily from 10am and there’s free car parking. SAT NAV CH2 1EU.

There is a direct bus link from Chester Railway Station to Chester Zoo running a frequent service all week long. Find out more at www.chesterzoo.org/travel.
