How did the Universe begin? What is a black hole? Come and find answers to the wonders of the Universe at Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre.
Visitors can listen to the sounds of the Big Bang and explore the invisible Universe using a range of hands on activities in the exhibition room or take some time to learn more about the world-famous giant Lovell Telescope.
Set within 35 acres of Cheshire plains, we host trees from all over the world such as ‘Dead Man’s Fingers’ from China, the Japanese Bigleaf Magnolia and the Giant Redwood from California. We have a diverse range of over 3,000 trees and shrubs including two National Collections of Malus (Flowering Crab Apple) and Sorbus (Rowan and Whitebeam).
If you fancy taking on an outdoor adventure, borrow one of our new backpacks and learn about the Solar System as you make your journey along the Planet Path.
Our award-winning cafe offers a full menu which is centred around the British seasons using quality, local ingredients. Open 10am - 4.30pm and welcomes non ticket paying guests.
