For an uplifting experience, visit Trentham Gardens with vast perennial plantings providing breathtaking vistas that change throughout the seasons. This stunning contemporary revival of a historic garden has made it amongst the very best in the UK, winning European accolade in 2010 from the European Garden Heritage Network.

Chris Beardshaw writes “A ‘must see’ has to be the Italian Garden which has been revived into what is now recognised as the largest display of perennial plantings in Europe – you just don’t get to enjoy gardens on this scale very often.”

Enjoy a stroll around the mile-long lake, through the woodlands and parklands, brave the UK’s first barefoot walk, enjoy the adventure playground and maze or take a trip on the catamaran or miniature train. In winter, there's a real ice rink at the lakeside, and in summer check out the fun-packed events programme, including outdoor live music and films on Saturday evenings in July and August. Check website www.trentham.co.uk for full event details.

Indulge in retail therapy at Trentham Shopping Village and the impressive and simply massive Trentham Garden Centre. Get up close to 140 free-roaming Barbary Macaques at Trentham Monkey Forest, take a high rope adventure at Aerial Extreme and stay over at the on-site Premier Inn!
